Terms of Service
These terms cover your use of MortuaryPrep at mortuaryprep.com and in the MortuaryPrep iPhone app. By creating an account or buying a plan, you agree to them.

The short version
- You can start free with no card.
- The monthly plan has a 3-day free trial. Cancel before it ends and you pay nothing.
- You can cancel anytime. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
- Billing mistakes are always refunded.
- If you're charged for a month and haven't used MortuaryPrep since, tell us within 7 days and we'll refund it.
- The one-time plan can be refunded within 7 days if you've barely used it.
- Purchases made through the App Store are refunded by Apple, not by us.
1. What MortuaryPrep is
MortuaryPrep is an independent study aid for the National Board Examination (NBE) in funeral service. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to The Conference, ABFSE, or Pearson VUE.
Our questions are original and written to the public content outlines. They are not real exam questions. Our readiness score is an estimate of how well you know the material, not a prediction of your exam score.
We work hard to make every question and explanation accurate, but we can't promise that you will pass the NBE. Your result depends on your own preparation and on the exam itself.
2. Your account
- An account is for one person. Please don't share your login. You can only be signed in on one device at a time; signing in somewhere new signs you out elsewhere.
- Keep your email address current so you can reset your password and receive billing notices.
- You can delete your account at any time from the Account screen. Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store subscription; see section 4.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, such as by sharing or copying our questions. If we close a paid account for any other reason, we'll refund the unused part of what you paid.
3. Plans

The current price of each plan is shown before you buy. Website purchases are processed by Stripe. Purchases in the iPhone app are processed by Apple, at the price shown in the app.
If we change the price of the monthly plan, we'll email you at least 30 days before your next charge at the new price. You can cancel before then. A price change never affects a one-time plan you've already bought.
4. Free trial, renewal and cancelling
Free trial. The monthly plan starts with a 3-day free trial. We ask for a card when you start it. If you don't cancel before the trial ends, your card is charged the monthly price and the plan renews every month after that. Each Apple ID or email address gets one free trial.
Renewal. The monthly plan renews automatically on the same date each month, at the price you agreed to, until you cancel.
Cancelling a website purchase. In the app, open Account and tap Manage subscription. You can also email brian@mortuaryprep.com and we'll cancel it for you. Cancelling stops future charges. You keep full access until the end of the trial or the month you've already paid for.
Cancelling an App Store purchase. Apple manages these, so we can't cancel them for you. On your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and cancel MortuaryPrep. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid the next charge.
5. Refunds
To ask for a refund on a website purchase, email brian@mortuaryprep.com from the address on your account. We reply within 2 business days. Approved refunds go back to the original card, usually within 5 to 10 business days.

We may make exceptions in our discretion, for example for a serious technical problem we couldn't fix.
App Store purchases. Apple processes all payments made in the iPhone app, and only Apple can refund them. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com. Apple makes the decision, and Apple may ask us how much the purchase was used.
Nothing in this section limits any refund rights you have under the law where you live.
6. Using MortuaryPrep fairly
The questions, explanations, readiness scoring and site design belong to MortuaryPrep. Your plan lets you use them for your own personal study. You agree not to:
- copy, screenshot in bulk, post, sell, or share our questions or explanations
- scrape the site or use bots or scripts to pull content from it
- share your account or resell access to it
- try to get around the free-question limit, the free trial limit, or the paywall
- interfere with the site's security or other people's use of it
If you spot a mistake in a question, please flag it in the app or email us. We review every report.
7. The legal details
No warranty. MortuaryPrep is provided as it is. We aim for accurate content and a site that's always available, but we don't guarantee either.
Limit of liability. To the extent the law allows, MortuaryPrep is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, including the result of your exam. Our total responsibility for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
iPhone app. If you use the iPhone app, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. Apple is not responsible for MortuaryPrep or for supporting it.
Changes to these terms. We may update these terms. If a change affects what you pay or your refund rights, we'll email you before it takes effect. Otherwise, the new terms apply from the date shown at the top.
Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, except where the law where you live gives you protections that can't be waived.
